The second phase of recruitment includes 600 English and Mathematics teachers and 2,500 subject teachers. Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹30,000, while the Teacher Eligibility Test will be compulsory for English and Mathematics posts.

The Himachal Pradesh government has approved the appointment of 3,100 teachers for government schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the second phase of its recruitment initiative.
According to a government spokesperson, the recruitment aims to strengthen teaching staff, ensure the availability of subject-specific teachers and support the implementation of the CBSE curriculum in government schools across the state.

Of the total positions approved, 600 teachers will be engaged under a scheme for professional English and Mathematics teachers, while the remaining 2,500 will be recruited under a separate scheme for teachers in CBSE-affiliated government schools.
The selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹30,000.

Selection through competitive examination

The announcement does not specify an examination date or application deadline. Candidates should check official state recruitment notifications for details about eligibility, the application process and the examination schedule.
The recruitment forms part of the state's broader effort to strengthen government schools adopting the CBSE curriculum. In October, the state government also approved teaching and non-teaching positions for additional CBSE-affiliated government schools.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has said the government aims to strengthen educational infrastructure, teaching standards and student learning outcomes through these measures.
