The crisis was triggered by Tuesday’s cross-voting by six Congress MLAs in the Rajya Sabha election for the lone seat from Himachal Pradesh.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar decried BJP and called its tactics "worrisome" for democracy.
“I had said there is no need of Kamal Nath in our party and that's why its doors were closed for him,” he told reporters here on Wednesday.
"After inaugurating it (temple) just over a week ago, the PM has arrived in Kashi. Kashi is known for its temples and culture across the globe," Adityanath said.
The AAP believes that the move is an attempt to prevent an alliance between the party and Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as the BJP is feared by the potential alliance.
In his address at the university, Modi stated that Kashi is now being seen as a model of development and heritage across the world.
