Deshmukh was returning from a meeting at Narkhed village in the Katol Assembly Constituency, where his son Salil is running for state assembly on the NCP-SP ticket against BJP's Charansingh Thakur.
Releasing the party's manifesto 'Sankalp Patra' in Ranchi in run up to the assembly elections in the state, Shah announced that BJP will implement the Uniform Civil Code and a Displacement Commission would be formed to ensure rehabilitation of people displaced by industries and mines in the state.
