Alcohol-fuelled fight after cricket loss turns fatal in Bengaluru; driver booked for murder.

A drunken argument between two friends ended in death in Bengaluru when a 28-year-old man was killed after the driver allegedly rammed his car into a tree while the victim was hanging onto the door, police said. The chilling episode, recorded on the vehicle’s dashcam, unfolded late January 25 night.
The victim, Prashanth, a resident of Hebbagodi, had attended a local cricket tournament with his friend Roshan Hegde (27). Police said tensions flared after their team lost the match and escalated later as the two continued drinking.

According to a complaint filed by Prashanth’s mother, Roshan attempted to leave the spot in his car following the argument. Prashanth tried to stop him by holding onto the left window of the moving vehicle. Despite this, Roshan allegedly drove off recklessly, causing the car to veer off the road and slam into a tree.
Prashanth suffered grievous injuries and died while being taken to hospital. Roshan also sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Police have registered a murder case against Roshan and are analysing the dashcam footage to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the fatal crash.
