IIM Ahmedabad has completed its summer placement process for the PGP Class of 2028, with over 230 roles offered across consulting, finance, technology, fashion, healthcare and emerging sectors.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has concluded its summer internship placement process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2026–28. The recruitment drive featured more than 230 roles across three clusters, bringing together leading domestic and international companies from diverse industries.
The placement process was conducted between October 23 and October 30, 2026. It followed a hybrid recruitment model, allowing participating organisations to interview candidates both online and on campus.

According to the institute, the three clusters collectively covered sectors such as management consulting, investment banking, private equity, consumer goods, artificial intelligence, enterprise technology, healthcare, manufacturing, renewable energy and e-commerce.
IIM Ahmedabad organised its summer placement process in three separate clusters. Each cluster covered different industry groups and attracted recruiters from established companies as well as emerging businesses.
Cluster 1 (October 23): More than 85 roles were offered across six cohorts, including management consulting, advisory consulting, investment banking, private equity, financial advisory and transformation consulting.
Cluster 2 (October 27): More than 75 roles were offered across nine cohorts, covering advertising and media, consumer goods, fashion, financial services, pharmaceuticals, real estate and retail.
Cluster 3 (October 30): More than 70 roles were offered across 12 cohorts, including artificial intelligence, banking, enterprise technology, manufacturing, logistics and renewable energy.
The institute confirmed the completion of the process following the third cluster on October 30.

Private equity and venture capital firms, including Blackstone, Ares Management, Gaja Capital and Multiples Alternate Asset Management, also participated in the recruitment process.
One of the notable developments in this year's summer placement process was the introduction of two new industry cohorts: fashion and real estate.
The fashion segment featured Raymond, while Eden Landmarks and Experion Developers participated in the real estate category.
The second cluster also attracted major consumer brands and business groups. Companies such as Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Dabur, Berger Paints and Coca-Cola participated in the recruitment drive.
Other prominent recruiters included Amazon and Myntra in retail and e-commerce, Airtel in consumer services, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and Medtronic India in healthcare.
The third and final cluster highlighted the growing presence of artificial intelligence and technology companies in management recruitment.
Microsoft, Hexaware, Ascendion Engineering and Sprinklr were among the participating organisations in the enterprise technology category.
The artificial intelligence cohort included CRMIT Solutions, DCirrus Cloud and Suchama AI. Meanwhile, Tata Consultancy Services recorded the highest number of hires in the analytics and IT consulting segment, which also featured Indegene and Accordion India.
Banking and insurance companies such as Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) also participated.
The manufacturing and infrastructure segment included Tata Steel, Jindal Steel Oman, AD Engineer and Satyam Auto. Other participating organisations included Bangalore International Airport Limited, Motilal Oswal, ReNew and Tesco.
With the completion of all three clusters, IIM Ahmedabad has wrapped up its summer internship placement process for the PGP Class of 2028.
The participation of companies from traditional business sectors alongside AI startups, technology firms, fashion brands and renewable energy companies reflects the breadth of opportunities available to management students.
The institute has stated that a consolidated press release containing further details of the placement process will be published in the coming days.
