Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is preparing a parent-connect platform offering access to attendance, examination results and school updates, while cautioning families against unofficial applications.

Parents of students studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) may soon be able to monitor their children's attendance, academic performance and school-related activities through a proposed digital platform called the KVS Samvaad Parent Connect App.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is planning to introduce the application to improve communication between schools and parents. The proposed platform is expected to provide important academic and administrative information through mobile devices.

According to the information reported by Careers360 on October 31, the application is expected to offer several features that will help parents remain updated about their children's academic progress without having to depend entirely on parent-teacher meetings or individual school communications.
The proposed KVS Samvaad application is expected to provide parents with access to the following information:
Attendance records: Parents will be able to check their child's monthly attendance, including the number of days present and absent.
Academic performance: The platform is expected to help parents monitor academic progress and identify improvements or declines in performance.
Examination results: Parents may be able to access their children's examination results through the digital platform.
School announcements: Important notices, announcements and school-related information are expected to be available.
Official communication: The application aims to establish a direct digital communication channel between schools and parents.
The proposed system is expected to make it easier for families to follow their children's educational progress and remain informed about important school activities.
Before the proposed application becomes operational, KVS has reportedly directed schools to verify the registered mobile numbers and email addresses of parents through the SAMAGAM Portal.
The verification process is intended to ensure that only authorised parents can access student-related information.
According to the reported procedure, class teachers will verify parents' contact details through the Student Information System (SIS). Separate one-time passwords (OTPs) will be generated for registered mobile numbers and email addresses.
Parents will need to provide the required OTPs to their child's class teacher to complete the authentication process.
Schools have also been instructed to ensure that student profiles are marked as completed before initiating verification.
Alongside preparations for the proposed parent-connect platform, KVS has issued an important warning about unofficial mobile applications claiming to represent the organisation.
According to an advisory published on the website of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanhangad on October 27, 2026, KVS SAMAGAM is currently available only as a web portal. No official SAMAGAM mobile application has been released so far.
The advisory urges parents, students and school employees not to download or register on unofficial applications claiming to be associated with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
KVS has also cautioned that some applications available on the Google Play Store may misleadingly use the organisation's name. Such platforms are not authorised by KVS and could put users' personal information and privacy at risk.
The organisation has advised schools to circulate the warning through their websites, WhatsApp groups, parent-teacher meetings and Vidyalaya Management Committee meetings.
Parents should therefore avoid sharing personal information, student details or OTPs with unverified applications.
Although preparations for the proposed KVS Samvaad Parent Connect App have been reported, an official public launch date has not been established in the available information.
Importantly, Kendriya Vidyalaya NTPC Kaniha published a separate notice on October 29, 2026, stating that the KVS Samvaad Parent Connect App is not yet being launched.
Parents should wait for an official announcement from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan before downloading any application claiming to be the new parent-connect platform.
Once officially introduced, the initiative could make communication between schools and families more transparent and convenient, while helping parents remain actively involved in their children's education.
