Noida schools closed: Check district-wise arrangements

In Gautam Buddha Nagar, the administration has ordered 32 schools to suspend regular classes on October 30 as their premises are being used as examination centres.

Of these 32 institutions, 15 are affiliated with CBSE. The order covers the identified examination-centre schools. Teachers and other staff members will continue to report for examination-related responsibilities, while students will stay home.

In Ghaziabad, the District Inspector of Schools has announced a one-day holiday for schools up to Class 12. The district has 44 examination centres for the PET examination, with around 20,000 candidates expected in each shift.

Why have schools been closed in Uttar Pradesh?

The decision to suspend regular school activities is primarily aimed at ensuring the smooth and peaceful conduct of UPSSSC PET 2026.

The examination is expected to attract a large number of candidates from different parts of the state. Consequently, traffic congestion and crowd management around examination centres have become important administrative concerns.

Several schools are being used as examination venues. Keeping regular classes suspended helps authorities manage security arrangements, candidate movement and examination-related logistics.

Students and parents should check their respective schools' official communications before assuming that the holiday applies to every institution in their district.
