NIRF Ranking 2024: Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee maintains top spot in architecture and planning institution category

NIRF Ranking 2024: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has published the ninth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings for 2024. This ranking offers detailed insights into the performance of higher education institutions across India in different disciplines.

Created by the Indian government, the NIRF evaluates and ranks these institutions each year, aiming to promote overall progress and development in the education sector.

The NIRF ranking 2024 shows notable changes in the architecture and planning institution category.

In 2024, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, maintains its top position, whereas Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, gains one spot to be in 2nd position.

The National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kozhikode, Kerala, slips to 3rd position, whereas the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Howrah, made its entry into the top five with 4th position.

School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, remains in 5th position.

The ranking is based on five parameters

2. Research and Professional Practice (RP)
3. Graduation Outcomes (GO)
4. Outreach and Inclusivity (OI)
5. Peer Perception
