Israel renewed its strike in Gaza around a week ago while simultaneously intensifying its air and ground offensive against Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Israeli army launched heavy bombardment on the intervening night of Oct 12- 13, killing at least 29 people in the central and northern Gaza Strip, said a media report citing medics.

At least 30 people were injured, and 14 people remain missing and are believed to be buried under the rubble, according to Wafa — Palestinian news agency.
Prior to this attack in Jabalia, Israel military had launched the offensive in this area a week ago claiming that attacks were aimed at stopping Palestinian group Hamas from regrouping.
On Oct 12, the Israeli military posted a map of northern Gaza on X with instructions for residents in the vicinity of Jabalia to leave.
“The area must be evacuated immediately via [Salah al-Din Street] to the humanitarian area,” the post said, referring to so-called Israeli-designated humanitarian safe zones between al-Mawasi and Deir el-Balah.
Israeli fighter jets bombed a multistory apartment block in Jabalia on Oct 12 night, hitting four inhabited homes and killing 22 people, Palestinian news agency, Wafa reported.
The IDF has warned people to move out of the way of its offensives against the Hamas and Hezbollah fighter groups.
According to the data released by the Lebanese Health Ministry, the total death toll in Lebanon in the past year's conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has reached 2,255.
The Lebanese health ministry also said that 15 people were killed in three Israeli attacks on Oct 12 on Deir Bella, Al Maaysra and Barja.
It further said that five hospitals sustained damage from Israeli air strikes in the eastern city of Baalbek and the Bekaa Valley.
The IDF, meanwhile, claimed that Hezbollah launched around 320 projectiles from Lebanon into Israel on Oct 12.
In a related development, Israel has again hit United Nations peacekeeping headquarters in Naqoura with a peacekeeper struck by gunfire late on Oct 11. He is in stable condition.
Israel’s military fired on the UN peacekeeping headquarters for the second straight day. Israel, which has warned the peacekeepers to leave their positions, didn’t immediately respond to questions.
Following the attack, India condemned “repeated Israeli attacks” against United Nations (UN) peacekeeping personnel in Lebanon emphasizing that the inviolability of UN premises must be respected by all, and appropriate measures taken to ensure the safety of UN peacekeepers.
UN World Food Program has said that Northern Gaza is experiencing hunger as no food aid has reached there since Oct 1, where approximately 400,000 people remain.
The WFP said it was unclear how long the limited food supplies it distributed in northern Gaza earlier will last.
Israel's offensive has killed over 42,000 Palestinians in Gaza following the Palestinian fighter Hamas’ Oct 7 attack last year.
The Hamas fighters killed some 1,200 Israelis and abducted around 250 others.
