Kejriwal evading ED summons proves he is scared to face probe: Sachdeva

In the aftermath of the Delhi High Court's dismissal of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's petition contesting his arrest by the ED, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated on Tuesday that following the court's decision, the AAP leader has forfeited all moral authority to continue as the Chief Minister.

Sachdeva intensified his criticism of Kejriwal, asserting that the high court rebuked the Chief Minister for expecting differential treatment as an accused. Sachdeva added that the court's directive to Kejriwal not to anticipate any special treatment as a Chief Minister makes it abundantly clear that the ED's arrest order of Arvind Kejriwal is lawful and fact-based.

The BJP leader further alleged that the city's residents are embarrassed that their Chief Minister is not only implicated in a liquor scam but is also behaving like a fugitive, unsuccessfully moving from one court to another. Sachdeva continued his attack on Kejriwal, stating that his current predicament is the consequence of the distress caused to countless families when the Delhi Chief Minister permitted the promotion of liquor in Delhi. "It's time Kejriwal accepts moral defeat and resigns as the Chief Minister of Delhi," Sachdeva declared.

In the meantime, BJP MP from North East Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, stated that the court order has held a mirror up to the AAP leader. He further alleged that the evidence collected by the ED indicates that Kejriwal is the mastermind behind the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. "AAP stands exposed," Tiwari proclaimed on his social media account.

BJP's national secretary, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, asserted that it has once again been proven that the Delhi Chief Minister is implicated in the liquor scam, as the High Court denied relief to Kejriwal and stated that there is ample evidence with the investigative agency validating his arrest. Sirsa further demanded that Kejriwal and his wife Sunita Kejriwal should apologize to the entire country for juxtaposing his image with those of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar.
