Viral video exposes a police sub-inspector’s humiliating threats during traffic jam in Meerut; demands for strict action grow loud.

A disturbing video from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district has ignited public fury after it showed a female police sub-inspector verbally abusing and threatening a couple caught in a traffic jam. In the clip, the officer is heard unleashing shocking expletives, including a vile threat to “pee on your face,” leaving bystanders and social media users aghast.
The incident unfolded on the evening of December 29, when heavy congestion choked a busy arterial road. Frustrated by the traffic, the officer—identified as Ratna Rathi, posted in Aligarh—allegedly lost control inside her car before stepping out to aggressively confront the couple in another vehicle for not giving way.

As tensions escalated, the confrontation drew a growing crowd, many recording the abusive tirade that soon went viral. Public outrage swelled, with widespread calls demanding a formal investigation and strict disciplinary action against the officer for her unprofessional and disgraceful conduct.
Authorities have acknowledged the video and assured the public of a thorough enquiry, promising appropriate measures if complaints are filed. Meanwhile, the incident raises urgent questions about accountability and discipline within the police force, underscoring the need for zero tolerance toward abuse of power.
