IIRF releases Top Private Engineering Colleges Ranking 2024 for Ph.D. enrollment and research

The Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) has announced its latest rankings for private engineering colleges in India, with a focus on Ph.D. enrollment and research excellence.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, has secured the top position, reaffirming its status as a leading institution for advanced research and doctoral studies in the country.

Following closely, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has claimed the second spot, recognized for its strong emphasis on research and development across various engineering disciplines.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, ranks third, known for its world-class research facilities and a robust ecosystem that fosters innovation and scholarly pursuits.

SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, and Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, round out the top five, highlighting their significant contributions to research and Ph.D. programs in engineering.

PSNA College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul, at seventh place, is recognized for its growing research initiatives and Ph.D. enrollments, particularly in the fields of engineering and technology.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), College of Engineering, Pune, continue to maintain their positions as premier institutions for research and doctoral studies, ranking eighth and ninth, respectively.

The Faculty of Engineering at Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER), Chennai, completes the top ten list, known for its active engagement in research and Ph.D. programs.
