The Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) has finally released its Engineering College Ranking 2024, with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, securing the top spot in the good for employability category, reaffirming its reputation for excellence in engineering education and employability.

The IIRF Engineering Ranking 2024, which focuses on employability as a key criterion, highlights the institutions that are not just excelling in academics but are also producing industry-ready graduates.

Following VIT, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has claimed the second position, renowned for its rigorous academic curriculum and strong alumni network.

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT), Gandhinagar, has earned the third spot, recognized for its innovative programs and cutting-edge research in the field of information technology.

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, and RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, round out the top five, showcasing their commitment to providing quality education and excellent placement opportunities.

Bangalore's dominance in the rankings continues with BMS College of Engineering and Ramaiah Institute of Technology also featuring prominently, reflecting the city's status as a hub for engineering talent.

The IIRF rankings are widely regarded as a comprehensive evaluation of engineering institutions, incorporating various factors such as academic performance, infrastructure, faculty, and, most notably, employability.

The framework's emphasis on employability is particularly significant in today's job market, where engineering graduates are expected to be job-ready from day one.

Institutions like ICFAI Tech Hyderabad and SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, have also made it to the top ten, known for their strong industry connections and focus on practical learning.
