CLAT is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs offered by participating National Law Universities across India.

The examination provides an admission route for candidates seeking to pursue five-year integrated undergraduate law courses and one-year postgraduate Master of Laws (LLM) programs.

The entrance test is conducted for admission to the 2027-28 academic session. Candidates interested in securing seats in participating NLUs must complete the application process within the revised deadline and appear for the entrance examination.

CLAT 2027 exam date and mode

As per the official examination schedule, CLAT 2027 will take place on December 6, 2026. The examination will be conducted in offline mode.
