Students applying for IGNOU’s January 2026 session now have until April 10, and all ODL and online program assignments must be submitted by April 30 to avoid rejection.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension for applications and assignment submissions for its ODL and online programs. Students seeking admission for the January 2026 session now have until April 10 to apply.
For admission to ODL programs, students can register at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, while online program registrations can be completed at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

In addition, IGNOU has extended the deadline for submitting assignments for the June 2026 Term End Examinations (TEE) to April 30, 2026. This applies to all students enrolled in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programs, including GOAL and EVBB.
An official notification from the university clarified that students must submit both hard and soft copies of assignments. GOAL (Guyana Online Academy of Learning) and EVBB (E-VidyaBharati) are online education initiatives primarily for international students.
“The submission process remains unchanged. Hard copies should be sent to the designated centers, while soft copies can be uploaded through the prescribed online portals. Students should also check course-specific portals for instructions,” the notification said.
The university stressed that this extension is final and urged students to submit their assignments on time.
Submissions after April 30, 2026, may not be accepted, and students are advised to follow the existing guidelines provided by the university to avoid any complications.
