Bihar Board Class 10 results 2026 declared, two girls share top rank

The Bihar School Examination Board has announced the Class 10 Matric results for 2026 on March 29, with over 12 lakh students clearing the examination.

Candidates can access their scorecards through the official websites by entering their roll code and roll number. The results follow a 12-day evaluation process conducted by the board.

This year, Pushpanjali Kumari of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya and Sabreen Parveen from Uchcha Madhyamik Vidyalaya Chaurahi in Vaishali secured the top rank jointly, each scoring 492 marks.

A total of 1,235,743 students passed the exam, taking the overall pass percentage to 81.79%. Girls recorded a higher success rate than boys.

Around 1,512,687 students appeared for the exam, including more than 7.85 lakh girls and 7.26 lakh boys, across nearly 1,699 centers in Bihar.

The result announcement comes days after the board declared Class 12 results on March 23, covering more than 13 lakh students across streams. Officials said the evaluation and result publication were completed within the usual timeline.

Students who qualify in the matriculation examination can now opt for Science, Commerce, or Arts streams in Class 11 based on their scores and preferences.

Those seeking re-evaluation can apply for scrutiny, while candidates who did not pass in one or more subjects will be eligible to appear for compartment exams.

The board has advised students to download their provisional marksheets online and collect original certificates from their respective schools later. It also cautioned that websites may experience temporary slowdowns due to heavy traffic.
