During the meeting on June 12, NCP Working President Praful Patel suggested Sunetra Pawar's name and requested the ministers to share their opinions.

NCP’s Sunetra Pawar to submit her nomination for Rajya Sabha today
Sunetra Pawar is likely to submit her nomination for the Rajya Sabha on June 13.
The event is set to take place in Maharashtra, with the backing of prominent figures from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), including Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who will accompany her during the submission at approximately 1 pm.

NCP's spokesperson, Umesh Patil, confirmed the schedule, stating, "Sunetra Pawar is slated to submit her nomination papers today at around 1 pm."
The nomination comes amidst a competitive field of candidates, yet it appears that Ajit Pawar has successfully rallied the party's support for his spouse's candidature.
When inquired about potential discontent among party members, particularly Chhagan Bhujbal, Patil clarified that Bhujbal was actually the one who proposed Sunetra Pawar's name.

Addressing the concerns over potential conflicts regarding the development of Baramati, Supriya Sule, a four-time elected MP, emphasized that the role of an MP is pivotal in advocating for their region's progress.
Regarding the exchange of congratulations post-election, Sule disclosed that she had not received any from Sunetra Pawar but had reached out to her personally.
The nomination process is a testament to Ajit Pawar's influence within the party, as he has persuaded fellow leaders to support his wife's ascent to the Rajya Sabha.
