BJP Announces Dinesh Pratap Singh for Rae Bareli, Karan Bhushan Singh Replaces Father Brij Bhusan Singh in Kaiserganj

As the Congress party gears up to reveal its candidates for the traditional Nehru-Gandhi constituencies of Amethi and Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has made its move. The party has put forth Dinesh Pratap Singh as its contender for Rae Bareli and has chosen Karan Bhushan Singh to succeed his father, Brij Bhushan Singh, in the Kaiserganj constituency. The last date for filing nominations for these constituencies is this Friday, with the elections scheduled for the fifth phase on May 20.

In a recent rally in Bareilly, UP, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi, stating that the Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ would conclude with a ‘Congress Dhoondho Yatra,’ implying a significant defeat for the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Gujarat, accused the Congress of being a ‘follower’ of Pakistan. He stated, “The Congress is on the decline here, while Pakistan is lamenting there… Pakistan desires a feeble Indian government, akin to the one before 2014, under which terrorist attacks in Mumbai were possible.” Rahul Gandhi, in Shivamogga, brought up multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against Prajwal Revanna, stating, “PM Modi is seeking votes for a ‘mass rapist’.”

In related news, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, will be campaigning for the party’s candidates in Gujarat today. According to an AAP statement, “Sunita Kejriwal will partake in roadshows for the party’s candidates in the Bharuch and Bhavnagar constituencies on Thursday.” The AAP’s candidates for these seats are incumbent MLAs Chaitar Vasava and Umesh Makwana. With the Delhi CM currently in Tihar jail in relation to a liquor policy case, Sunita has assumed responsibility for the AAP’s Lok Sabha election campaign.
