Education Minister interacted with students on campus, hearing about their experiences, aspirations and ideas for India’s future.

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi turned a routine morning walk at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras into an informal interaction with students, discussing their experiences, aspirations and views on India’s future.
Joshi shared photographs from his visit on social media, showing him walking through the IIT Madras campus and engaging with students along the way.

“Started the morning with a refreshing walk across the IIT Madras campus,” Joshi said in his post, adding that he had the opportunity to meet students and exchange thoughts with them.
The minister said the enthusiasm, ideas and energy of the students made the morning particularly meaningful and reflected the immense potential of India’s young generation.
Unlike a formal meeting, the interaction took place during Joshi’s walk around the campus, giving students an opportunity to speak with the minister in a more relaxed setting.
The visit comes at a time when innovation, research, entrepreneurship and technology are increasingly central to India’s higher education agenda. IIT Madras has emerged as one of the country’s leading institutions in these areas, with a strong focus on research and technological innovation.
Joshi’s interaction also highlighted the importance of direct engagement between policymakers and students, particularly at institutions that play a key role in shaping India’s scientific and technological future.
