Judges and lawyers evacuated as security teams sweep premises in precautionary response.

The Bombay High Court in south Mumbai’s Fort area was evacuated on September 12 afternoon following a bomb threat, prompting an immediate halt to court proceedings. Judges, including Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, abruptly left the courtroom as precautionary measures were enforced.
The Delhi High Court reportedly received a similar threat, though authorities are yet to confirm whether the emails were related.

The Bombay Bar Association (BBA) and Advocates Association of Western India (AAWI) advised member lawyers to vacate the premises amid security concerns. Mumbai police deployed the bomb detection unit and dog squad to sweep the court grounds.
An officer from the Mumbai Police confirmed that the evacuation followed a threat mail, but it remained unclear whether the Bombay High Court was specifically targeted or mentioned in the threat sent to the Delhi High Court.
