Türkiye and Poland select seven joint research projects for funding

Türkiye and Poland have selected seven joint research projects for funding under a bilateral cooperation programme involving universities, research organisations and companies from the two countries.

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) announced on November 3 that the evaluation process under its bilateral cooperation programme with Poland's National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) had been completed. Both agencies decided to support seven projects under the programme.

The selected teams include researchers from several Turkish universities, including Özyeğin University, Yıldız Technical University, Bezmialem Vakıf University, Ankara University, Marmara University, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul Medipol University and Ege University.

Their Polish partners include Opole University of Technology, the Łukasiewicz Research Network, the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, Poznan University of Technology and the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology.

Companies and research organisations from both countries are also part of the selected teams. These include Turkish firms such as Corbell Robotics, Yeditepe R&D and Analysis Center, MCT Chemistry and Nara Educational Technologies, alongside Polish companies including AMAZEMET, Elmiko Biosignals, Pikralida, Photo4Chem, Orange Polska and Synektik Pharma.

Bilateral research cooperation

The projects were selected under the 2549 Bilateral Cooperation Programme between TÜBİTAK and NCBR. The programme supports research collaboration between Türkiye and Poland by bringing together project teams from both countries.

The participation of universities and companies in the selected projects reflects the programme's emphasis on cooperation between academic research and industry.

TÜBİTAK's announcement lists the principal investigators and their affiliated organisations on both sides of the partnership. However, it does not provide the individual project titles, research themes, funding amounts or implementation timelines.

The selection marks the completion of the evaluation process for the latest call, with seven bilateral projects approved for support by the two research agencies.
