The first phase of TVK's education awards will recognise meritorious students from 30 Assembly constituencies across five districts, with certificates and cash incentives.

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to honour Class 10 and 12 board exam toppers at education awards ceremony in Chennai on November 4, 2026.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will felicitate academically outstanding students who performed well in the Class 10 and Class 12 public examinations for the 2025-26 academic year. The first phase of the award ceremony will take place in Chennai on Wednesday, November 4.
The event will be organised at the RK Convention Centre in Neelankarai, Chennai, as part of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)'s annual education awards initiative, known as Kalvi Virudhu Vazhangum.

According to the official announcement quoted by news agencies, the first phase will recognise meritorious students from 30 Assembly constituencies across five Tamil Nadu districts. These include Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai and Villuppuram.
Chief Minister Vijay will personally present certificates and financial incentives to the selected students in the presence of their parents.
The main award ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2 pm. Students and their parents have been asked to reach the venue from 11 am for entry and verification of their documents. Lunch arrangements have also been made for the attendees.
The first phase will cover students from the following districts:
| District | Assembly constituencies covered |
|---|---|
| Ariyalur | 2 |
| Cuddalore | 9 |
| Kallakurichi | 5 |
| Tiruvannamalai | 8 |
| Villuppuram | 6 |
| Total | 30 |
The initiative aims to acknowledge students' academic achievements and motivate them to pursue higher education and future career goals.
The awards programme will cover high-performing students from both Tamil Nadu and Puducherry who appeared for the Class 10 and Class 12 public examinations.
According to reports, students who secured the first three positions in their respective constituencies will receive recognition under the initiative. Their parents have also been invited to attend the ceremony.
The first phase is limited to the 30 constituencies identified across the five districts. Further phases will cover other eligible students.
This year's programme holds particular significance as it marks the first edition of the TVK education awards since Vijay assumed office as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
The initiative was launched in 2023, before Vijay entered electoral politics. In previous editions, he personally recognised students who achieved outstanding results in their Class 10 and Class 12 examinations.
The programme has continued as an annual initiative to encourage academic excellence and recognise students from different parts of the state.
Although Vijay will attend the ceremony in his capacity as Chief Minister, the education awards are being organised by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
The programme is a party-led initiative rather than an official Tamil Nadu government scheme. The awards will continue under the TVK banner, maintaining the identity of the initiative established in 2023.
The event reflects the party's continued focus on recognising academic achievement and encouraging students to pursue their educational aspirations.
