CBSE releases Class 10, 12 sample papers and marking schemes for 2026-27 session

CBSE has released the subject-wise sample question papers (SQPs) and marking schemes for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 academic session.

Students can access the materials on the official CBSE Academic website to understand the structure and assessment of their upcoming board examinations.

The board has also confirmed that the question paper design and assessment pattern will remain unchanged for the 2026-27 session.

The passing criteria will continue to follow the requirements applicable during the 2025-26 academic year.

The newly issued sample papers are designed to give students and teachers a clear idea of the format and types of questions that may be included in the board examinations.

CBSE said the materials are intended to support classroom teaching and learning, with emphasis on applying concepts to real-life situations.

CBSE Class 10 sample papers and marking schemes

For Class 10, CBSE has published SQPs and marking schemes for Science, Mathematics Basic, Mathematics Standard, Social Science, English, Hindi, Home Science and Computer Applications.

The board has also released materials for music, painting and various language subjects. Students can refer to the subject-specific marking schemes to understand how answers will be evaluated.

CBSE Class 12 sample papers and marking schemes

For Class 12, the released materials cover a wide range of subjects, including Accountancy, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.

Sample papers and marking schemes have also been made available for several language, vocational and performing arts subjects.

Students preparing for the 2027 CBSE board examinations can use the sample question papers to familiarize themselves with the examination format and plan their preparation accordingly.

The marking schemes can also help them understand the expected approach to answering questions and the allocation of marks across different sections.
