Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) has secured the ninth position globally in Education Advisers UK’s 2026 rankings of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) schools, becoming the only Indian institution to feature among the world’s top 10.

The Mumbai-based school, promoted by Reliance Industries, also recorded its highest-ever average score of 40.8 points for the Class of 2026, marking a significant milestone in its academic performance.

Announcing the achievement, Reliance Industries said the school had earned its place among the world’s leading IB institutions based on the 2026 Diploma Programme results and global rankings released by Education Advisers UK.

DAIS also had the largest IBDP cohort among the top 10 schools, with 105 students. The result highlights the school’s performance across a sizeable group of candidates rather than a small cohort.

The school attributed the achievement to its emphasis on academic rigour, intellectual curiosity, innovation and holistic education. It also acknowledged the contribution of students, teachers and parents to the milestone.

In a post on X, DAIS said the recognition reflected the collective commitment of its students and educators, along with the support and trust of parents.

What is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme?

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a globally recognised qualification generally pursued by students aged 16 to 19 during the final two years of secondary education.

Established in 1968, it combines academic study across six subject groups with a core designed to develop independent thinking, research skills and engagement beyond the classroom.

The core comprises Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Activity, Service and the Extended Essay. Together, these components encourage students to examine how knowledge is developed, undertake independent research and participate in activities that support personal and community development.

DAIS’s ninth-place finish and record average score of 40.8 points place the school among the leading institutions in the 2026 global IBDP rankings and mark a notable achievement for Indian schooling on the international stage.
