Andhra Pradesh has revised examination arrangements for the March 2027 Intermediate exams, introducing uniform answer booklets, a single Biology OMR sheet and separate elective-subject question papers.

The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has revised the examination arrangements for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) scheduled for March 2027. The changes cover answer booklet formats, Biology examination materials and question papers for selected subjects.
According to media reports citing a communication issued by the board, the revised instructions were circulated to junior college principals across the state. The changes were reportedly approved during the board's 78th meeting held on September 18, 2026, and communicated through a circular dated October 15, 2026.

The revised arrangements are intended to standardise examination materials and improve the administration of the AP Intermediate examinations.
Under the revised arrangements, students appearing for general theory examinations will receive a uniform 32-page answer booklet. The format is intended to standardise answer sheets across general theory subjects.
However, the existing 24-page answer booklet will continue to be used for vocational courses. No change to the vocational-course answer booklet has been reported.
Students should follow the instructions issued by their respective junior colleges regarding the use of answer booklets during the examinations.
The board has also revised the answer-sheet arrangement for Biology examinations for both first-year and second-year Intermediate students.
Under the new system, candidates will receive a single OMR sheet along with a 40-page answer booklet. This will replace the existing arrangement in which separate OMR sheets were provided for Botany and Zoology.
The revised format will apply to Biology examinations conducted as part of the March 2027 Intermediate Public Examinations, according to the published reports.
Students should check any further instructions issued by the board or their colleges regarding the revised Biology examination procedure.
Another change concerns question papers for elective subjects under Part II. The board has decided to provide separate question papers for the relevant subjects for first-year and second-year Intermediate students.
The subjects covered by the reported changes include:
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Civics
Economics
Commerce
History
The revised arrangement is expected to help standardise question-paper distribution and examination procedures across participating junior colleges.
The board has reportedly instructed junior college principals to communicate the revised examination arrangements to the concerned teachers and students.
College authorities have also been asked to ensure compliance with the board's instructions for the systematic conduct of the March 2027 examinations.
Students preparing for the AP Inter first-year and second-year examinations should stay in touch with their colleges and monitor the official website of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, for further updates.
Students can visit the official BIEAP website at https://bie.ap.gov.in/ to look for examination notifications, timetable announcements and other updates.
The revised answer booklet and OMR arrangements should not be confused with changes to the syllabus, marking scheme or examination dates. Students should rely on official board notifications for any such changes.
