The reopened programs cover foundational learning, digital safety, inclusive education, and technology-driven teaching practices, aiming to strengthen classroom instruction and professional skills across Delhi’s diverse school system.

Delhi’s education authorities have reopened a set of online professional development programs, requiring teachers from government and private schools to participate in structured training during the current academic year.
The State Council of Educational Research and Training announced that NISHTHA courses, along with General Continuous Professional Development and short-duration nano courses, will be conducted again for teachers, school heads, and teacher educators.

The programs are open to staff from government, aided, unaided, and private schools across the capital.
As part of the NISHTHA initiative, training will focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy and Early Childhood Care and Education.
These courses will be offered in English, Hindi, and Urdu, with an emphasis on strengthening classroom practices at the foundational level in alignment with the National Education Policy, SCERT said.
The council said the General CPD courses will address a broad range of current issues. These include cyber hygiene and social media safety.
The courses will also cover cybercrime and digital wellness. Inclusive education and instructional design for technology-integrated pedagogy are part of the curriculum.
Other focus areas include media literacy, financial safety, and data privacy and protection.
Environmental risks such as e-waste will also be discussed. In addition, the courses will cover action research and the use of open educational resources.
In addition, nano courses focusing on cyberspace safety and related topics will be made available, it said.
Teachers can register for all courses through the DIKSHA portal, where the modules are hosted in digital format, the board said.
According to SCERT, the platform offers video-based lessons, text learning materials, and assessments, enabling participants to complete the training at their own pace within the prescribed timeline.
Enrollment for the courses will remain open until March 10, 2026, and participants must complete them by March 15, 2026, the council said.
Teachers and school heads have been advised to follow the schedule strictly, as course links will expire after the deadline.
The initiative aims to strengthen professional capacity among educators and expand access to updated pedagogical and digital skills across Delhi’s school system, it added.
