The project will provide scholarships and financial assistance to children of toll plaza employees, covering Class 11 through postgraduate studies, ensuring access to quality education and nurturing their academic potential.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched Project Aarohan, an initiative to support the educational goals of children of toll plaza employees.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that the program is designed to remove financial barriers and provide equal access to quality education for students from economically weaker sections.
"Project Aarohan reflects the commitment of NHAI towards toll plaza employees and their families,” said NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav.
He added that the program seeks to nurture the talent of students who will contribute to the country’s growth.
Under the initiative, 500 students from Class 11 through the final year of graduation will receive an annual scholarship of 12 thousand rupees for the financial year 2025-26.
Additionally, fifty high-performing students pursuing postgraduate and higher studies will receive scholarships of 50 thousand rupees each.
The application process will be conducted online, requiring submission of academic records, income proof, caste certificate, and ID proof to ensure transparency and accessibility.
