The program offers hands-on research experience with faculty guidance, access to advanced labs, and flexible four- to eight-week duration, with a stipend available for students completing a full eight-week participation period.

The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has introduced RISE-UP 2026, an undergraduate research internship in sciences and engineering that will be conducted entirely offline on campus.
According to the institute, applications for the program will open on March 26 and close on April 10, 2026.

Selected interns will work closely with IIT Jammu faculty, gaining exposure to advanced laboratories and research facilities while contributing to projects focused on real-world challenges.
The initiative emphasizes practical learning over theoretical instruction. Participants will be engaged in hands-on project work aimed at building technical and research capabilities rather than attending classroom sessions.
Since the program is fully offline, selected candidates must remain physically present on the IIT Jammu campus throughout the internship period.
The program is open to pre-final-year undergraduate students and postgraduate students from institutions other than IIT Jammu. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate strong programming or technical skills.
The internship will be held between May and July 2026, with a duration ranging from four to eight weeks. A minimum participation of four weeks is required, while a stipend will be provided to those who opt for the full eight-week duration.
Interested candidates can apply through the official portal, which will go live on March 26. The application link and QR code have already been shared on IIT Jammu’s official social media platforms.
Applicants are advised to prepare their academic records, details of technical skills, and a statement of research interest in advance.
