GGSIPU launches seven new paramedical and allied healthcare courses for 2026 session

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced the introduction of seven new paramedical and allied healthcare programs for the 2026 academic session, expanding its offerings in healthcare, psychology, rehabilitation, and epidemiology.

The university has started the online application process for these newly introduced courses through its official admission portals. Interested candidates can submit their applications online until May 31, 2026.

New Programs Introduced

The newly launched courses include BSc Clinical Psychology (Hons.), Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical and Trauma Technology (BSc EMTT), Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) / Master in Applied Epidemiology, MA Clinical Psychology, Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRP), MSc Speech Language Pathology (MSc SLP), and Bachelor of Optometry.

According to the university, applicants will have to pay an application fee of ₹2,500 for each program. Candidates applying for more than one course will need to submit separate fees for every application.

Focus on Expanding Healthcare Education

The introduction of these programs comes at a time when demand for skilled professionals in healthcare and allied sectors continues to rise across the country.

Programs such as Emergency Medical and Trauma Technology are expected to train students in trauma care and emergency response systems.

Courses related to clinical psychology and rehabilitation psychology aim to strengthen expertise in mental health and behavioral healthcare services.

Public Health and Support Services

The Epidemic Intelligence Service and Master in Applied Epidemiology program is expected to focus on disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, and public health response mechanisms.

Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Optometry and MSc Speech-Language Pathology programs are intended to support the growing need for trained professionals in vision care and communication disorder services.
