Entry Requirements:
• Prospective students should hold an upper Second-Class Honours Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Alternatively, applicants with relevant professional experience may also be considered.
• An overall grade of 6.5 in IELTS with 6.5 in writing and no less than 6.0 in all skills is required, or a score of 93+ in the TOEFL iBT with a minimum writing score of 22 and no skill below 20.
Tuition Fee: For entry in the academic year beginning September 2025, the tuition fee is £29,250.
Scholarship: There are several scholarships and bursaries available for international students, such as:
• Several postgraduate-taught scholarships and awards to outstanding applicants, such as the Humanities Bicentenary Scholarship of £10,000 for 1 year of study.
• The Global Futures Scholarship, offering £8,000 to South Asian students.
• HCRI Scholarship each year HCRI offers a themed scholarship (set at the value of 1-year, full Home fee) open to postgraduate students, this is currently set at £13,500.
• Manchester Alumni Bursary offers a £3,000 reduction in tuition fees to University of Manchester alumni who achieved a 1st within the last three years and are progressing to a postgraduate taught master's course.
• Manchester Master's Bursary is a University-wide scheme that offers 100 bursaries worth £3,000 in funding for students from underrepresented groups.
• Postgraduate 1+3 funding is available from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for students to pursue postgraduate study through a master's (one year) leading into a PhD (three years). It requires a project proposal as part of the application.
