Prospective Indian candidates interested in pursuing postgraduate studies at IIT Kanpur are encouraged to consult the PG Manual, which provides detailed information about the various programs offered. Final-year students expecting to complete their programs by July 26, 2024, may apply for provisional admission to the session commencing in July 2024 (2024-25-I Semester). Non-sponsored PhD, MTech, M.Des, and MS (By Research) students are eligible for financial support in the form of Institute Assistantship/Scholarship.

Withdrawal from the program is permissible until July 12, 2024, with a deduction of Rs 1000. Subsequent withdrawals will adhere to institute norms, and refund processing will commence after August 15, 2024.
