The program aims to bring educational learning closer to workplace requirements and help students acquire practical skills aligned with evolving industry expectations.

Through the Industry Fellowship Programme, AICTE seeks to establish stronger connections between industry and academia by encouraging greater industry participation in the education and skill development ecosystem.

The initiative is also designed to address the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in academic institutions and the practical requirements of professional environments.

The program places emphasis on industry-driven innovation and skill development, with the broader objective of preparing students for changing employment requirements and future workforce demands.

Objective of AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme

The AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme aims to promote closer engagement between educational institutions and industry stakeholders, with a focus on making technical education more responsive to changing workplace requirements.

By encouraging industry participation, the initiative seeks to support innovation, practical skill development and stronger academic-industry partnerships.

It also aims to address the disconnect between classroom-based learning and the competencies employers expect from graduates entering the workforce.

The program is expected to contribute to the development of a workforce with industry-relevant capabilities, helping students better understand professional practices and prepare for emerging opportunities across different sectors.

Through such collaborations, AICTE aims to encourage a more industry-oriented approach to education, where academic knowledge and practical exposure work together to meet the requirements of India's evolving industrial and employment landscape.
