
Police have arrested three of the six accused who assaulted two trainee army officers before raping their female friend at a picnic spot in Madhya Pradesh's Mhow area. A massive manhunt in underway to nab the other three culprits.

The boy’s mother has alleged he was assaulted, confined to a room, and eventually expelled from the school.

The 26-year-old woman officer alleged that sexual assault took place in Wing Commander’s room around 2 am on Jan 1 after the accused asked her to come to his room to receive a New Year's gift.

The ethnic clashes in the state, which first began on May 3 last year, were reignited on Sep 1 when a woman and her minor daughter were killed, and several others were injured after militants fired indiscriminately and dropped grenades from drones during a gunfight with security forces near Koutruk in the Kangchup region of Imphal West district.

An indefinite curfew has been imposed in both of the Imphal districts, Imphal East and Imphal West, and Thoubal district on Sep 10 due to "the developing law and order situation," the district administration said.
