Oman’s Maritime Security Center informed on July 16 that the oil tanker, Prestige Falcon, capsized around 25 nautical miles (46.3 km) southeast of Ras Madrakah, near the port town of Duqm.

Authorities had confirmed that there were 55 people on board the two buses, including seven Indian nationals, traveling on the highway connecting Kathmandu to southern parts of the country when they swept away early on July 12 near Simaltal, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) west of Kathmandu.
The Finance Police of Verona seized 475,000 euros from these two Indians, who own two agricultural enterprises with no employees on the records.

Reportedly, the bodies were spotted by villagers who informed the authorities following which the rescuers working as part of search operations recovered the bodies of 11 people. One of the bodies was found as far as 100 km from accident site.
