SBI PO Recruitment 2026 registration ends July 8, apply for 1,500 vacancies

The State Bank of India (SBI) will close the online application window for Probationary Officer (PO) Recruitment 2026 on July 8. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can complete the registration process through the official SBI Careers portal before the deadline.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,500 Probationary Officer vacancies across India, including 1,446 regular vacancies and 54 backlog vacancies. SBI has stated that the number of vacancies may be revised based on the bank's requirements.

Candidates can apply by visiting sbi.bank.in/web/careers, opening the SBI Probationary Officer Recruitment 2026 application link, registering with a valid email address and mobile number, completing the online application form, uploading the required documents, paying the applicable fee, and submitting the application. Applicants should download the confirmation page after successful submission for future reference.

The application fee is ₹750 for candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories.

Candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories are exempt from paying the fee.

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government.

Candidates in the final year or final semester of graduation are also eligible to apply. However, those shortlisted for the interview must submit proof of passing the qualifying examination on or before Sept 30, 2026.

Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of April 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation in accordance with Government of India norms.
