Students Participate in Track-and-Field Events and Cultural Performances

Students from Classes 6 to 12 participated in several sporting activities, including races, drills, hurdle competitions and other track-and-field events. The celebrations also featured dance performances and a flash mob, adding a cultural dimension to the annual sports programme.

A march past was another important attraction, reflecting the spirit of unity, coordination and teamwork among participating students.

The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase their sporting abilities, participate in healthy competition and learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Asian Games Medallist Shares His Journey with Students

One of the major highlights of Satyan Spardha was an interactive session with Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru, during which he shared his experiences as an international-level archer.

He spoke about beginning his archery journey in 2016 under the guidance of coach Kamal Kishore, who was also present at the school event. Recalling his progress, he discussed his participation in the School Games in 2017 and his subsequent achievements at the 2026 Asian Games, where he won an individual bronze medal and a team gold medal.

Ganesh explained how regular training, exposure to competitive events and the ability to learn from failures helped him progress in his sporting career. He encouraged students to explore different interests, participate in activities beyond academics and remain dedicated to their ambitions.

Ganesh Urges Students to Focus on Consistent Efforts and Self-Belief

Addressing the students, Ganesh reflected on the hard work behind his international sporting achievements. He explained that his success at the Asian Games was the result of years of preparation, early-morning training sessions and learning from unsuccessful attempts.

He emphasised that concentration and confidence develop through consistent practice rather than being natural abilities. He also described winning two medals at his maiden Asian Games as a significant milestone that strengthened his motivation to continue improving.

Encouraging the students, he advised them to participate in different activities, experiment with new interests and view mistakes as opportunities to learn. He stressed that perseverance and commitment are essential to achieving long-term goals.

Satya School Highlights Role of Sports in Holistic Education

Manisha Malhotra, Director-Principal of Satya School, said that sports form an important part of the institution's approach to holistic education.

She highlighted that participation in sporting activities helps children develop concentration, collaboration, resilience and respect for others. According to her, students should learn to appreciate both victories and defeats as essential parts of personal growth.

She also emphasised the value of interacting with accomplished professionals and sportspersons, as their experiences can provide students with inspiration and a broader understanding of success.

Malhotra added that the school's objective is to provide an encouraging environment where children can identify their interests, develop their abilities and gain the confidence to pursue their aspirations.

Annual Sports Meet Reinforces Teamwork and Sportsmanship

Satyan Spardha concluded with participation from students, parents, teachers and other members of the school community. The march past, athletic competitions and cultural performances made the programme an opportunity for students to demonstrate their talents and engage in collective celebrations.
