OTT platform Amazon Prime is all set to delight its viewers with its latest lineup of upcoming series and films. Promising gripping tales in different genres, the shows are curated for a wide audience catering to everyone’s taste.
The new slate of shows was announced at an event called “Prime Video Presents”, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.
"Close to 70 new shows and films are coming over to Prime Video India in the next few years," said Mike Hopkins, Senior Vice President at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios.

Citadel: Honey Bunny: First look of Varun Dhawan-Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s 1990s-set series was unveiled by the OTT platform.
‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, is billed as a riveting narrative that "fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90s".
The series starring Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles is written by Raj & DK along with Sita Menon.
"Citadel", the American spy franchise, developed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden also has an Italian version, titled "Citadel: Diana", slated to release in 2024.
The Rana Connection: Baahubali-fame actor, Rana Daggubati is set to host a talk show on the OTT platform, which will feature him interacting with his friends and contemporaries from Indian cinema.
Titled "The Rana Connection", the Amazon Original series is produced by Daggubati's banner Spirit Media Pvt Ltd.
Matka: Another exciting film to look forward to is “Matka” starring Vijay Varma in the lead role.
The film is set in 1960s Mumbai and is about an enterprising cotton trader who craves legitimacy and respect.
It is directed by Nagraj Manjule and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Nagaraj Manjule, Gargi Kulkarni, Ashish Aryan, and Ashwini Sidwani.
Daldal: Following next is Bhumi Pednekar starrer- Daldal in which she plays a fierce cop. Pednekar, who is making her OTT debut with the series plays DCP Rita Ferreira, whose life is being haunted by the guilt of her past and demons of her present.
It sees her embark on an investigation of a series of murders that puts her on a collision course with a cold-blooded serial killer, as she tries to save her life from falling apart. The actress was recently seen in crime thriller Bhakshak inspired from real events.
Call Me Bae: Starring Ananya Panday, Call me Bae is a Dharmatic Entertainment production. The actress plays a rich heiress turned hustler who has gone broke but refused to be broken.
It is directed by Collin D'Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra, and written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair. Besides Panday, the series also features Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.
Khauf: Monika panwar and Rajat Kapoor starrer Khauf looks like a psychological thriller which navigates the story of a woman who moves into a hostel room in Delhi, unaware of its dark history of violence and hidden secrets.
Grappling with the shadows of her troubled past, she finds herself entangled in a struggle against unexplained forces that manifest both within the confines of the room and outside.
The film is created and written by Smita Singh, and directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan.
Andhera- an urban horror story starring Surveen Chawla and mega influencer Prajakta Koli, Dharmatic Entertainment’s Daring Partners starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, and Jaaved Jaaferi, Another Dharmatic Entertainment production “The Tribe” that features Alanna Panday and a group of Indian influencers who have been set up to crack global fame in Los Angeles, are some of the other notable shows that the OTT platform has announced in its new lineup.
