The incident happened early in the morning between 4:45 and 5:00 am as Govinda was getting ready for a trip to Kolkata. He explained how there was an unexpected jolt after the handgun misfire due to an unintentional fall.
He added that in order to avoid stirring up trouble, he decided not to include anyone else in the incident. Rather, he took some recordings and was soon brought to see Dr. Agarwal, who escorted him to the hospital for the treatment.
When questioned why he carried a loaded pistol, the actor said that he can be a little freewheeling by nature and didn't give it much thought at the moment.
Govinda clarified that he had assumed everything was OK in the early rush to get dressed, but now emphasizes the significance of taking caution.
He believes that people would take note of his experience and steer clear of such situations. "I tend to be a little carefree by nature; I sensed nothing was off," he said.
Govinda explained that success is like a flame that needs to be handled carefully, attributing his desire to carry a pistol to the difficulties of popularity.
"Fame is a flame, and you have to be aware of it all over the world. It is like fire when you become successful, and you have to tread carefully," he said.
He is aware of the many people's affection and support, but he is also aware of the rivalry and jealousy that exists.

He said that the incident should not be associated with anyone or anything else and that no misconceptions or misunderstandings should result from it.
"I would like to say that this incident should not be attached to anyone or anything. There should be no misunderstandings around," Govinda added.
Govinda thanked his fans and followers for their outpouring of love and support.
