Canadian Police arrest suspect in AP Dhillon shooting, Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility

A person has been arrested by Canadian police in connection with the shooting at the residence of Indo-Canadian rapper AP Dhillon in British Columbia on suspicion of possessing and firing rounds with the intent to commit arson, while another suspect is believed to have escaped to India, according to a police statement.

“The Canadian police arrested and charged a man on Oct 30, 2024, for recklessly discharging a firearm into a residence and setting fire to two vehicles in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Road, Colwood, in Sep. The crime occurred in Sep 2024," reads the statement from the Canadian police.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have identified the arrested suspect as 25-year-old Winnipeg resident Abjeet Kingra. Kingra has been charged with "Discharge of a Firearm with Intent and Arson."

According to the police, Kingra was taken into custody in Ontario.

The other suspect, who has most likely escaped to India, has been identified as Vikram Sharma, a 23-year-old man who was last seen living in Winnipeg.

Vikram Sharma is wanted on an unendorsed warrant for "Discharge of a Firearm with Intent and Arson." His details have been made public in order to assist in identifying him, as the police do not have a picture of him.

Anyone with additional information on Sharma's location is urged to contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.

A shooting occurred outside the home of Punjabi artist and rapper AP Dhillon in Vancouver, Canada, earlier in Sep. Gunfire was heard near the singer's residence on Vancouver Island, and two vehicles parked nearby were set on fire.

Notably, the Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang claimed responsibility for the shootings, which took place just weeks after AP Dhillon released a music video titled "Old Money," featuring Bollywood actor Salman Khan, with whom Bishnoi is in conflict.

The gang has threatened AP Dhillon, claiming his supposed ties to Salman Khan, and warned him to "keep within his boundaries," or he will meet a "dog's death."
