The recruitment drive covers vacancies in sectors including engineering, science, teaching, aviation, archaeology, meteorology, administration, and technical services.

According to the notification, candidates from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including engineering, atmospheric sciences, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, oil technology, and language studies, are eligible to apply depending on the post requirements.

UPSC said eligible Indian citizens possessing qualifications ranging from bachelor’s degrees to postgraduate and doctoral degrees can apply for the advertised posts.

The eligibility criteria vary across positions and include qualifications such as BSc, BE/BTech, MA, MSc, ME/MTech, PhD, and postgraduate diplomas.

Applicants have been advised to carefully check the detailed notification before applying to ensure they meet the educational qualifications, experience requirements, and age criteria prescribed for each post.

The vacancies have been distributed across categories including Unreserved (UR), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) has also been provided wherever applicable.

UPSC clarified that the number of vacancies may change depending on departmental requirements.

The age limit differs according to the post, with relaxation provisions available for reserved category candidates as per Government of India rules.

Candidates applying for the recruitment drive are required to pay an application fee of ₹25 through online mode.

However, women candidates, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities applicants have been exempted from paying the fee.

The Commission stated that applications will only be accepted through the online ORA portal, and no offline submissions will be entertained.

Candidates have also been cautioned to verify all details before submitting the form, as discrepancies related to educational qualifications or work experience may result in rejection during later stages of recruitment.

The recruitment process will involve the shortlisting of candidates followed by interviews.

UPSC said there will be no written examination for these posts, and selections will be based on candidates’ academic records, professional experience, and performance during the interview or personality assessment stage.

Selected candidates will receive salaries under Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix along with admissible allowances such as dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and transport allowance.

For certain senior Group A positions, higher pay levels will apply depending on the department and post.

The Commission stated that the selected candidates will be appointed to permanent gazetted posts under the central government.

The detailed notification, post-wise vacancy distribution, eligibility conditions, and application link are available on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
