The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the CUET-UG 2026 examinations scheduled for May 28 following a revision in the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday announced by the Government of India.
The postponement will affect candidates who were scheduled to appear for the examination in both shifts on that day.

In an official public notice issued on May 24, the agency said the decision was taken after a notification from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) regarding the change in the holiday date.
“In light of the DoPT notification regarding the change in the date of the holiday on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), the CUET (UG) 2026 examinations scheduled to be held on 28.05.2026 in both shifts stand postponed,” the notice stated.
The agency clarified that fresh examination dates for the affected candidates will be announced separately.
Students have been advised to regularly monitor the official websites of NTA and CUET for updates related to the revised schedule and further examination-related announcements.
NTA also said candidates facing difficulties or seeking clarification can contact the agency through its helpdesk number 011-40759000 or email [email protected].
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs in participating universities across India.
