UP Anganwadi Department announces 948 vacancies for workers and assistants

The Uttar Pradesh Anganwadi Department has announced 948 openings for Anganwadi workers and assistants and is inviting applications from eligible candidates.

The department emphasized that the recruitment process will remain fee-free and straightforward to encourage more women to participate.

Out of the total vacancies, 12 are for Anganwadi workers and 936 for Anganwadi assistants.

Areas such as Sohawal, Amaniganj, Milkipur, Haringtonganj, Masaudha, and Ayodhya city have the highest number of openings, while Pura Bazaar, Rudauli, and Bikapur report fewer vacancies.

Candidates must meet the educational criteria, with a 12th-grade pass required for Anganwadi workers and a 10th-grade pass for assistants.

All applicants must be residents of Uttar Pradesh, and any region-specific requirements mentioned in the official notification must be followed.

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 35 years, with age relaxations provided for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and ex-servicemen categories according to government rules.

The recruitment process does not include a written examination. Instead, applications will be reviewed, and a merit list will be prepared based on eligibility.
