UP Board UPMSP extends the deadline for 5,905 schools to submit Class 9 and 11 student lists for the 2026–27 session.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has extended the deadline for 5,905 schools across Uttar Pradesh to generate, download and submit student lists for the 2026–27 academic session. The revised deadline is October 22, 2026, according to reports published on October 17.

The extension applies to student lists required for advance registration in Classes 9 and 11 and examination applications for Classes 10 and 12 for the UP Board's 2027 examination cycle.

Schools were previously required to complete the process by October 15, 2026. The additional week is intended to help institutions that had not generated the required lists within the original timeframe.

The board's official website, upmsp.edu.in, provides registration information and notices for the 2026–27 academic session.

Why Has UP Board Extended the Deadline?

The deadline was extended because 5,905 schools had not generated the required student lists within the prescribed period. These records are necessary to complete registration and examination-related formalities for the 2026–27 academic session.

Under the earlier schedule, schools had to generate and download the lists and submit them by October 15. The revised schedule gives the affected institutions additional time to finish the pending work.

What Schools Need to Do Before October 22

The principals of the schools covered by the extension should complete the following steps:

Generate or download the required student lists through the UPMSP portal.

Verify the details of students registered in the relevant classes.

Ensure that the candidate lists include student photographs, as required.

Attach a copy of the relevant treasury challan or fee receipt.

Submit the required documents to the concerned District School Inspector's office within the extended deadline.

These documents are required for onward processing through the board's regional offices.

UP Board Exam 2027: Classes Covered Under the Extension

The extended deadline concerns four classes, with different purposes for each:

Class 9: Advance registration for the 2026–27 academic session.

Class 10: Applications for the UP Board High School Examination 2027.

Class 11: Advance registration for the 2026–27 academic session.

Class 12: Applications for the UP Board Intermediate Examination 2027.

The extension concerns the schools' generation and submission of student lists. It should not be interpreted as a general extension of every student registration deadline. Schools and students should check the relevant UPMSP notifications for the applicable requirements.
