RIMCEE 2026 registration: Apply for RIMC Class 8 admission by Sept 30, check key details

RIMCEE 2026 registration is open for candidates seeking admission to Class 8 at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) for the July 2027 academic term. Eligible applicants must submit their forms by Sept 30, 2026, through the National Testing Agency's official examination portal.

Candidates who do not complete registration by the regular deadline will get an additional opportunity to apply by paying a late fee of ₹500. The late application window will remain open from Oct 1 to 7, 2026.

After the registration period ends, NTA will provide a correction facility for applicants who need to make changes to their submitted forms. The correction window will be available from Oct 9 to 11, 2026.

The RIMCEE 2026 entrance examination is scheduled for Dec 6, 2026. The test will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode at 39 cities across India, according to the official information bulletin.

NTA will issue the city intimation slip approximately 12 to 15 days before the examination. Candidates can expect their admit cards to be released around 5 to 7 days before the test.

How to apply

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements and wish to appear for the RIMCEE 2026 examination can follow these steps to complete the application process:

Step 1: Go to the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/rimcee.

Step 2: Open the "RIMC Entrance Exam 2026 December Application" link available under the candidate activity section.

Step 3: A new page containing the registration details will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Select the option for new registration.

Step 5: Enter the required personal information, including the candidate's name, father's name, mobile number and email ID.

Step 6: Submit the registration details to generate the candidate's login credentials.

Step 7: Use the credentials to log in and complete the remaining sections of the application form.

Step 8: Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.

Step 9: Pay the applicable examination fee and submit the completed application form.

After submitting the form, candidates should download the confirmation page and retain a copy for their records and future reference.

Application fee

The examination fee varies according to the candidate's category. General, Wards of Defence Personnel and Ex-Servicemen, and OBC-NCL candidates are required to pay ₹1,000.

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories need to pay ₹750 for the application.

Documents required

Candidates should keep the required documents ready before beginning the application process. The list includes:

• Scanned photograph of the candidate in JPG format
• Birth certificate
• Domicile certificate
• Category certificate, wherever applicable
• Candidate's left thumb impression
• School studying certificate
