Rajasthan to set up well-being centers in all medical colleges

The Rajasthan government has announced plans to establish dedicated well-being centers in all medical colleges and create a state-level mental health welfare cell to support medical students.

The decision was taken during the first meeting of a state-level task force formed to focus on the mental health and well-being of medical students.

Medical Education Commissioner Naresh Goyal directed officials to implement the measures across institutions.

He said each medical college would appoint a dean responsible for overseeing and addressing student mental health issues.

He also said administrative and academic systems would be reinforced to ensure stronger psychological support mechanisms for students.
