The committee will meet at 11 am on June 1 to discuss matters related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Among the key topics on the agenda is the debate over conducting examinations through the conventional pen-and-paper format versus Computer-Based Tests (CBTs).

Members are also expected to consider concerns and recommendations submitted by various stakeholders regarding the examination process.

The meeting will be attended by the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education, the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NTA Director General, and Dr (Major) Gulshan Garg representing the United Doctors Front.

CBSE Examination Reforms on Agenda

A second meeting is scheduled for June 2 at 11 am, during which the committee will review the implementation of On-Screen Marking (OSM) in CBSE Class 12 examinations and assess issues reported by students following the introduction of the system.

The panel will also examine the progress of the Three-Language Formula in Classes 9 and 10.

Officials expected to participate in the discussion include the Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy and the CBSE Chairman.

The meetings come at a time when several examination-related issues remain under public scrutiny, including developments surrounding NEET UG 2026, concerns over the CBSE's OSM system, and discussions related to CUET UG 2026.

Panel Reviews NEET Investigation

The members of the parliamentary committee, during a meeting held on May 29, stressed the importance of preserving the integrity of the NEET UG examination while identifying and addressing weaknesses in the system.

Sources cited by the agency said the panel also reviewed the ongoing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe linked to the examination.

NEET UG Re-Examination Scheduled

The National Testing Agency is scheduled to conduct the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21. Admit cards for the test are expected to be released by June 14.

The agency had announced the cancellation of the NEET UG examination on May 12, a decision that led to widespread concern among candidates and their families.
