The relocation affects students allotted a University of Allahabad center, with authorities citing construction activity, power supply issues, and administrative constraints behind the decision.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has relocated one of the examination centers for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and asked affected candidates to take note of the revised venue before the June 21 test.
In an official notification, the agency said candidates who were originally assigned to the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre at the University of Allahabad will now appear for the examination at a different location within the university campus.

The change has been made following recommendations from the District Level Committee and the district administration, according to the NTA.
The agency stated that the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre will not be used for the re-examination due to ongoing construction activities, lack of electricity, and other administrative issues that could affect the conduct of the test.
Under the revised arrangement, candidates allotted to the affected center will now take the examination at the Department of Medieval and Modern History, Senate House Campus, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh – 211002.
The new venue is located within the adjoining University of Allahabad campus.
NTA clarified that the venue change is limited to candidates assigned to the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre and does not affect examinees allotted to other centers.
Candidates have been advised to review the official notification carefully and ensure they report to the updated location on the examination day to avoid any last-minute difficulties.
The NEET UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled to be held on June 21 amid heightened administrative and security measures.
