New undergraduate pathway enables certificate and diploma exits, features Hindi primary instruction with English support, follows a flexible online format, and offers scholarships to improve affordability and wider participation.

IIM Udaipur has introduced a new undergraduate management program, announcing the launch of its Bachelor of Business Administration degree with applications opening for the first 2026 batch.
The four year BBA has been structured as a flexible, digital-first program aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.

Designed to widen participation while maintaining academic standards, the pathway allows students to exit with recognized credentials at multiple stages.
Participants can earn a certificate after the first year, a Diploma after the second year, a BBA degree after the third year, and a BBA honors degree upon completing an optional fourth year.
A distinguishing feature of the program is its Hindi-first instructional approach, supported by integrated bilingual resources. Core learning materials are delivered primarily in Hindi, while English versions of recorded content are also made available to ensure broader accessibility.
Admissions for the 2026 cohort will be conducted fully online. The application process begins on March 4, 2026, and will close on May 31, 2026. The academic session is scheduled to commence on July 6, 2026.
Students who have completed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized board, including candidates from any academic stream and those from NIOS pathways, are eligible to apply.
There will be no separate entrance examination, and admissions will be granted based on eligibility criteria and document verification.
The fee for the first year starts at ₹50,000 under a tiered and transparent structure. The institute has outlined provisions for merit-based and means-based scholarships, along with fee waivers for eligible students, to encourage wider access and reduce financial constraints.
The program is intended to cater to a diverse set of learners, including recent school graduates and individuals seeking flexible entry into management education.
The academic model combines faculty-designed recorded lectures with live tutorial sessions, masterclasses, interactive discussion forums, and supervised examinations conducted at designated in-person centers.
This structure aims to maintain academic credibility while enabling students to study from different locations.
IIM Udaipur Director Prof Ashok Banerjee emphasized the institute’s focus on inclusivity alongside quality.
“At IIM Udaipur, we believe that access and excellence must move forward together. This BBA has been created to extend the quality and discipline of IIM education to a much wider group of learners—those who seek flexibility, those who learn best in Hindi, and those who value the confidence of bilingual support. Our aspiration is simple: talent should never be held back by language, location, or circumstance,” he said.
Further details regarding eligibility criteria, fee structure, scholarships, and the application process are available on the official website of IIM Udaipur.
