The IIRF rankings highlight the continued dominance of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in management education. The ranking methodology considers multiple indicators, including placement performance, teaching-learning resources and pedagogy, research, industry income and integration, placement strategies and support, future orientation, and external perception. According to IIRF, the rankings are designed to provide students with a comparative assessment of management institutes based on both academic and industry-relevant outcomes.
The release of the rankings is expected to influence MBA aspirants preparing for admission cycles through examinations such as CAT, XAT and other management entrance tests, as they shortlist institutions for the 2026-27 academic year.
