Ar. Harshad Bhatia, the new Design Chair and Professor at VESCOA.
The VESCOA (Vivekanand Education Society's College of Architecture) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ar. Harshad Bhatia as the new Design Chair and Professor. A noted urban designer, architect, academic and author, Bhatia brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the institution. He was conferred the title of 'Distinguished Professor of Ekistics' during a successfully attended COA-TTP (Council of Architecture – Teacher’s Training Programme) at VESCOA.
With a professional career spanning over four decades, Bhatia has managed a diverse portfolio of projects through his firm and now operates as a solo practitioner. Prior to joining VESCOA, he was a professor at several other leading architecture institutions. Bhatia is a gold medalist graduate from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai University, and a postgraduate gold medalist from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. His contributions to architectural history, project management, and design communication are well-recognized. He has authored the biography of India’s bestselling architect, titled Becoming Hafeez Contractor – The Making of an Architect, which is perceptively insightful and well-read.
In his new role at VESCOA, Bhatia will leverage his extensive background to inspire faculty and guide students, fostering a new generation of architects and urban designers.
